If you, or someone you know, has a child that will be turning 5 on or before August 1, 2023 you are invited to enroll them in kindergarten for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. To enroll please use this link: https://www.blufftonschools.
Enrolling your student does not automatically schedule them for Kindergarten Screening which is scheduled for April 27-28th. After enrolling, you will be notified to schedule a screening.
If you live outside of the school district, please complete an open-enrollment application prior to registering your child. Out-of-district residents will not be enrolled until they have been approved for open-enrollment.

Kindergarten Screening is scheduled for Thursday April 27th and Friday April 28th. After completing registration on FinalForms you should receive a link to choose an appointment time for Kindergarten Screening from Mrs. Steiner.
If you feel you may qualify for free or reduced breakfast/lunches for the 2022-2023 school year, please complete the Free & Reduced lunch form on Final Forms and bring it to the office. You may be eligible to have your school fees waived. If you do not have a printer, you may stop in the office to obtain a hard copy. Only (1) form per household needs completed.
New this year, Bluffton Schools is using Final Forms to register your children. Please make sure you have done so before the registration days coming up on the 19th & 22nd of August. Please go to our website, www.blufftonschools.org and under the Parents Link, choose Student Registration-Final Forms tab, and follow the instructions. If you have any changes in address, phone number, contact info, etc. throughout the school year, please update this information on Final Forms.
For your convenience, credit card and debit card payments can be made to your child’s class fees and lunch account (online only) through our new “EZPay” system. Information will be mailed with the student’s class fees on how to register for this service. Our office will continue to accept check and cash payments.
The federal government has extended their free lunch and breakfast program for all students. An extra school lunch costs $2.50 and extra milk is 50 cents. The lunch menu will be sent home with students, but parents may also view it on our website. A computerized debit system is utilized for payment. Students may deposit money in their accounts in the mornings before school starts. They need to place their money in a sealed envelope with their name and ID number on the front, in a locked box in the cafeteria. Students may buy extra items from the lunch menu. Parents may block this feature by calling the cafeteria. charges are. For more information see “Meals Plus Info” in the elementary section on the school website.
A small grab-n-go breakfast (cereals, poptarts or granola items with milk) will be served before school on a daily basis from 7:35-8:05 a.m. in the Middle School Cafetorium. The price of a breakfast is $1.50. The federal government has extended their free breakfast and lunch program for all students.
When it is necessary to close or delay school due to bad weather, announcements will be made on the WLIO website (School closings) , radio stations: WIMA, T102, & WFIN, and on WLIO TV 35. Please do not call the school offices for delay/cancellation information. See “Alert System” below for information on how one may sign up to get alert text messages for delays or cancellations.
When school is delayed for two hours, the two year Kindergarten class will go to Plan B. This means that the two year kindergarten students will attend school, but will stay in school one hour later than usual. The two year kindergarten class dismissal for walkers and bus students will be at noon.
Please remember that if your child is going home a different way than normal, he/she will be required to have a note from a parent. If your student does not have a note, then he/she will be sent home the normal way. A Bus Request form must be signed in the elementary office if a parent is changing a daily pick up or drop off.
No transportation changes will be made after 2:00 p.m. for the current day. Written notes by parent/s must be turned into the office by 9:00 a.m. for same day changes.
